SCROLLS

The oil stick landscape scrolls are intended to represent the artist’s habit of walking and meditating in all kinds of weather. Observation is fluid, walking is a motion. The scrolls reveal and conceal, reflecting movement through space and the limitations of the eye and its peripheral vision.

‘My Childhood Games’ is made with chalk, chalkboard paint and heavy paper. It is made to document the many fun playtimes of childhood. It is an experimental and existential piece since every time it is scrolled some of the chalk drawing will drift off and disappear.

‘Suspension’ is a black and white exploration of a dream about human flotation and disorientation.

The moonlight scrolls are a series of small 12' scrolls about walking in the woods at night.
